Documents we notarize for inmates

The most common documents needing notarization for incarcerated individuals:

Power of Attorney

Financial or healthcare POA so a trusted person can manage affairs on the inmate's behalf.

Bail Bond Documents

Notarization of bail bond forms, surety agreements, and co-signer authorization documents.

Authorization to Release Information

HIPAA and other authorization forms allowing family to access records or communicate with facilities.

Consent Forms

General consent and authorization forms required by the facility or legal proceedings.

Financial Authorization

Authorization for a family member to manage banking, bills, or other financial matters.

Court-Required Documents

Documents required for legal proceedings, hearings, or probation requirements.

Time-sensitive situations

Bail bond notarization is often time-sensitive — bonds need to be posted quickly. Call us immediately when you know you need a notary for a bail bond situation. We'll coordinate with the facility and get there as fast as possible.

How it works

Getting a notary to your loved one in custody is straightforward:

1

Call or text us

Give us the facility name, the inmate's name and booking number if available, and what documents need to be notarized. We'll confirm coverage and facility requirements.

2

We coordinate with the facility

We contact the facility directly to schedule the notary visit, confirm visitor requirements, and arrange the meeting time. We handle the paperwork on that end.

3

Full payment after approval

The notary approves the appointment, sends a payment link, and you pay in full. We accept Credit Cards, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle. Once paid, the appointment is confirmed.

4

Notary visits the facility

Our notary arrives at the scheduled time, verifies identity, witnesses the inmate's signature, and completes the notarization with an official seal.

What you need to provide

To get the process started, have the following ready:

  • Facility name and location — which jail or detention center
  • Inmate's name and booking number (if known — helps speed coordination)
  • Description of documents — what needs to be notarized and why
  • Contact phone number — so we can coordinate with you and the facility
  • All documents unsigned — the inmate must sign in our presence; unsigned documents must be brought to the facility

We do not provide legal advice. We verify identity and witness signatures only.

Bail bond notarization — what to know

Bail bonds often require notarization of the surety agreement or co-signer authorization. When time matters, every hour counts. Here's what you need to know:

  • Both the inmate's signature and the co-signer's signature may need notarization — confirm with your bail bondsman
  • We can coordinate to have both parties sign at the facility if needed
  • We do not provide bail bondsman services — we only notarize the documents
  • If the co-signer is outside the facility, we can notarize their signature at a separate location

Call immediately when you have a bail bond situation. We'll tell you exactly what we can do and get moving.
