What do I need to bring to a notary appointment? +

To ensure a smooth signing, bring the following:

  • Valid government-issued photo ID for every person who needs to sign — driver's license, passport, or state-issued ID
  • All signers must be physically present — everyone signing the document must attend
  • Complete, unsigned documents — do not sign anything beforehand; signing must occur in the notary's presence
  • Blank spaces filled in — all fields should be completed before the appointment (except the signature lines)

We do not draft documents or provide legal advice. Documents should be prepared and reviewed by an attorney if needed before the appointment.

How do I book a notary appointment? +

The fastest way is to call or text (865) 809-9588 directly. You can also fill out the online appointment request form on our website. Once we review your request and confirm availability, we'll reach out to finalize the time and location. Full non-refundable payment is required to secure your appointment — we come to you once payment is received.

What forms of payment do you accept? +

We accept Credit Cards, Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle. After the notary approves your appointment request, a secure payment link is sent via text message. Pay in full through the link and we'll come to you — nothing is due at the appointment itself.

💳 Credit Cards 📱 Venmo 💵 Cash App 🏦 Zelle
Do you offer remote online notarization (RON) in Tennessee? +

Remote online notarization is not currently available through Need It Now Notary. Tennessee has enacted RON legislation and we are monitoring the approval process. We plan to offer online notarization services in the future. For now, all notarizations are performed in person — we come to you at a mutually agreed location in the Knoxville area.

What types of documents can you notarize? +

We can notarize most common documents including:

  • Powers of attorney (POA)
  • Wills and trusts
  • Real estate documents and deeds
  • Affidavits and sworn statements
  • Contracts and agreements
  • Medical authorization forms
  • Vehicle title transfers
  • School enrollment and employment documents
  • Travel consent letters for minors

Important: We provide notarization services only. We do not draft documents, fill out forms, or provide legal advice. If you're unsure whether your document qualifies, call or text (865) 809-9588 before booking. For a detailed breakdown, see our guide: Documents That Typically Require Notarization.

Are you a licensed, bonded, and insured notary in Tennessee? +

Yes. Need It Now Notary is a Tennessee-commissioned notary public with an active surety bond and notary errors & omissions (E&O) insurance. Every signing follows proper legal procedures to ensure your documents are valid and accepted. You can have full confidence your documents will be properly executed.

What is your cancellation policy? +

Full non-refundable payment is required after the notary approves your appointment request. This secures your time slot and covers the trip to your location. Payment is non-refundable because the notary reserves time and prepares for travel that can't be offered to others. Nothing is due at the appointment — we come to you once you're paid in full.

If you need to reschedule, contact us as early as possible. Payments may be applied toward a rescheduled appointment at our discretion. Same-day cancellations forfeit the payment entirely.
